ISLA CANELA
Isla Canela is a peaceful, under- developed natural conservation island linked by a bridge to Ayamonte, just inside the Spanish border close to Portugal. It enjoys an exceptional average climate of 20 - 25 degrees with gentle breezes and over three hundred days of sunshine throughout the year. Isla Canela has seven km of fine sandy beaches a cared-for natural setting and an exceptional climate The beaches are the perfect place to relax for all ages. A heavenly place for walking or jogging and an ideal place to cycle (bikes can be hired from the marina) Sand dunes and palm trees line the promenade before you reach the sand as the government have not allowed building straight onto the beaches. Nearby activities and sports include 18 hole golf course, driving range with putting greens, social club and golf school, bowls centre, tennis club, harbour, marina, sailing club, and fishing. The marina has a selection of restaurants and bars, as well as a two mini supermarkets. Opposite in the fishing village you have a selection of restaurants cooking the catch of the day just for you. The perfect place to come for the perfect get away!
Isla Canela is a ten minute drive away from Portugal, one hour and a half hours drive from Seville and an hours drive away from the Donana National park. The apartment is a seven minute car ride from the unspoilt Spanish town of Ayamonte.
Three airports to choose from the nearest being forty five minutes from Faro airport or one and a half hours from Seville airport and three hours from Jerez airport. A car is recommended to get the most out of your holiday but air port transfers can be arranged.
