We have collated information for guests to see what is on offer in the area. There is nothing worse than making the effort to take your kids out and finding the place closed or needing to pre book. Therefore, it is very important that you contact the activity you wish to visit before going to check price and opening/closing times. Some of the places might be closed for the winter or have limited hours during the winter months (especially the water parks).

1. CROCODILE PARK . (Cártama) Estación de Cártama, Málaga Tel. +34 952 118 318 Situated in one of the most beautiful nature areas of the Gudalhorce Valley, 15 minutes away from Málaga and 30 minutes from Marbella Some of the crocs here weigh more than 450 Kilos and are 60 plus years old! You will be able to view numerous examples of this reptile from newly-laid eggs up to some truly heavyweight monsters. 2. Open from 10:30 hrs. to 18:00 hrs. and with a discount for people who arrives after 15:00 hrs, as well as free entrance for children under the age of four and other special rates for parties and season tickets. Facilities include self-service restaurant, changing rooms, safety deposit boxes, gift shop, floats and a picnic area.

 

3. SEA LIFE CENTRE (Benalmádena) Puerto Deportivo 29630 Benalmadena Tel. +34 952-56-01-50 Fax. +34 952-44-67-84 SEA LIFE in Benalmádena Port (30 Km from Marbella ). The 'Danger in the Reefs' exhibition here allows you to experience the ocean's most deadly creatures, ranging from the Blue Ring Octopus, capable of killing a person in 20 seconds, to the comical Puffer Fish which is only fatal if you are foolish enough to eat it!. This is a great one to take the kids to, they will love it. Loads of local and more exotic Mediterranean wildlife, sharks, rays, eels and more. The underwater passage is always popular and there is a great deal to look at and learn.

 

4. SELWO COSTA DEL SOL (Estepona) Ctra.N-340, Km.162,5. The park is divided into several zones, each of which features a variety of different animals. The first remarkable area which you will encounter is the lagoon which is populated by exotic birds, including some colourful flamingos. Nearby are habitats suitable for birds and monkeys. One of the park's most striking man-made features is the bird canyon, a massive enclosed area of hills and plants, within which more than 40 different species of birds live freely. A great part of the circuit is made in all-terrain trucks, although there is lots to see on foot, so I recommend you to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Also there is limited shade so summer visitors should remember to bring along a hat and sun cream. The Park has restaurants, shops, parking and much more services and facilities.

 

5. SNAKE CITY (Benalmádena) Arroyo de la Miel. 29630 Benalmadena This park lives up to its name, with many types of snake on display, along with related reptiles, such as turtles. A regular show allows visitors the opportunity to participate and hold a selection of nasties, from pythons to tarantulas.

TIVOLI WORLD (Benalmádena) Arroyo de la Miel 29630 Benalmadena Tel. +34 952-57-70-16 Fax. +34 952-44-50-45 tivoli@ingenia.es TIVOLI WORLD is an amusement park located in Arroyo de la Miel, just 2 kms from the Benalmádena Costa. There are various rides as well as a tiny tots section, restaurants, bars and a professional calibre programme of concerts mainly by Spanish performers, as well as some 'look-alike' stars. Recent additions to the park include Tivolilandia and Tivoli Agua; the former is an infant area with 11 rides and other attractions specially adapted for very small children and babies; the latter is a water mountain flume ride which opened last year and has proved very popular.
